History of the Universe

Our story begins 2,500 years ago in a time of great civilization. When the myriad of races from a hundred worlds had built vast empires of colonies that controlled the galaxy. However, in this great time, the natural resources of those wolrds were drained and exhausted forcing those great civilizations of yesteryear to strike out into the galaxy again in search of resources to further fuel thier way of life.

From the smallest world to the largest empire, the strain of resources was felt. No greater was that strain than on the Kyaran worlds whom were time and again repelled in thier attempts to seize the star systems of the free worlds by the fleets of the great empires. Thus, in thier desperation they turned to attack the nomadic Schlekursta people whom were taking thier ships, people, and worlds to more peaceful stars.

The Kyaran, in thier gambit, failed. Outraged buy such a large attack, the Schlekursta began invading the Kyaran Empire - forcing them into retreat towards the borders of the near-endless Asvin Abyss. Soon, the Kyaran faced a two fronted war that they would soon loose if they fought.

So they fled.

The Kyaran civilization fled thier worlds and bases, and advanced towards the known worlds and galactic civilization where they met stiff resistance from the Allied Nations whom held the line as the Kyaran people, who did significant damage, were inevitabely slaughtered from behind. Within a century, the Kyaran numbered in the few hundreds, putting them on the verge of extiction. In a desperate bid, they made a made rush on several Interdimensional Gateways and fled across the known worlds hoping to use us as a buffer to slow down the rampage pursuing them.

And then it happened, the worst disaster in countless centuries took place as the Asvin and Schlekursta fleets appeared on the edge of the known worlds, as they sought out the Kyaran threat, they simultaneously wiped out the Allied fleets in a single year. People and governments on the edge of civilization faced the same choice as the Kyaran: fight or flee.

In what would soon become the greatest forced mass-migration in history, the Asvin and Schlekursta wiped out trillions with only a handful escaping as refugees into civilizations already beginning to flee the coming destruction. With what little resources left pressed into fighting the Final War, the Asvin and Schlekursta razed every last world purging the hiding Kyaran and anyone that saw them.

After another long century of war across the known worlds, the last forces of the Terran Confederation and thier allies, upon orders from the Terran leader himself, brought back into service the CDU device, a starship that was lost on purpose for countless ages prior to prevent its use, and as a final desperate bid it was sent to cause the biggest possible blow possible against the Asvin, Schleks, and any Kyaran in the M-803 galaxy.

Meanwhile, in the ruins of the M-803 Galaxy and the Aachenor Local Group, the Asvin begin gathering thier fleets for one final invasion to wipe out the survivors and the Schlekursta for good. The Kyaran, whom the survivors had built a rag-tag militia fleet to fight with, remained hidden under the very nose of the Asvin.

In Andromeda Galaxy, the Schlekursta were also gathering together, preparing to move on and continue thier search for a new homeland. However, when one scouting groups returned with word of a massive armada of Asvin preparing to attack them, the Schlekursta changed course and prepared to meet the Asvin in battle, before they were ready to fight.

The Four Generals leading the remains of civilization realized this golden chance to deal out a devasting blow to the Kyaran, Schlekursta , and Asvin all at once with the CDU and in that same year, the allied forces that remained - 3 fleets of no more than 500 ships amoung the three - fought thier way tooth and nail into the M-803 Galaxy and nearly failed more than once.

Their Mission Acomplished, an entire galaxy was wiped away from the face of the universe, allong with such a tremendous loss, so too were wiped the breadbaskets of the Asvin, remnants of the Kyaran, and countless Schlekursta.

It'll be millions of years before we see the bright light of an entire galaxy exploding at the same time, but those heros won the war. The Surviving Schlekursta forces fled the known worlds fearing another attack like that and the Asvin have not been heard from since. It was assumed thier military losses to be the greatest and forced them to abandon our universe completely.

Out of the 500 ships of the allied fleets, only 72 returned. All Four of the Great Generals had perished. The great governments lay in ruins. The survivors returned to thier ancestral homeworlds - if they still existed- and to worlds that were fortunate to have been ignored. There, in the Great Dark Age, they continued. Their starships rusted into derlicts and were lost. The great technologies slowly slid backwards as knowledge of thier functions vanished. The great cities of civilizations were also, soon lost as all knowledge of the Great Age of Civilization faded from memory into legend and mythology

But, it does not end there. Not yet.

For as time continued, the ashes of the past gave new life and civilization and once again the rockets and starships ventured back into space.

A New Era has Dawned... The years have once again raised the desire of civilized races to once again explore the universe, but this time.. Things will be different, as the damage from now fabled battle so long ago has still left much of the known universe devoid of resources, it is a time of excitement, knowledge of the past, dissapointment, and war.
